Santo Domingo, March 21 (RHC) Starting this Monday, Santo Domingo will be the scene of the VII Central AmericaDominican Republic Ministerial Meeting on Intellectual Property.
The event, which aims to promote highlevel dialogues and consultations to analyze and reflect on intellectual property promotion strategies, will bring together ministers and specialists from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the hosts. and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
According to a press release from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and MSMEs (MICM), WIPO DirectorGeneral Daren Tang will be present at the meeting and visiting the country in these days.
The Dominican Republic occupies the pro tempore secretariat of the regional meeting organized by the MICM together with the national copyright and industrial property offices. The conference program consists of three main activities, the first being a forum entitled “Strategic Perspectives” on Strengthening and Utilizing the Intellectual Property System for the Economic Recovery of Central America and the Dominican Republic, starting this Monday.
On Tuesday, the preparatory meeting of highlevel authorities from Central American countries and the Dominican Republic will take place, and on Wednesday, the topic of advancing solutions: intellectual property as a tool for innovation, transformation and subregional economic recovery will be discussed.
