Radio star Lauren Phillips breaks multiple bones in a freak accident at a Barbie party after doctors tell her it looks like she’s been “hit by a car.”
Radio star Lauren Phillips broke her arm so badly over the weekend a doctor thought she was hit by a car.
The KIIS FM presenter broke four bones in her arm after suffering a horrific accident at her friend and presenter Jessica Roberts’ Barbie 30th birthday party on Saturday night.
Bec Judd and Nadia Bartel attended the party alongside several Melbourne celebrities.
Speaking on KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren show Monday morning, Lauren explained that she fell at the end of the night while rushing to an Uber home.
“I was there as a hip-hop Barbie and the party was great.” “Everyone loved it, there were so many different Barbies,” Lauren explained.

“I loved my outfit because I wasn’t wearing a mini dress, I was wearing these cool pants so I could really get on the dance floor.”
By midnight, Lauren was ready to go and decided to run out the door without saying goodbye, knowing she would be staying much longer otherwise.
However, that decision would lead her to the emergency room.
“So I tried running out the door to the Uber with my Barbie platforms, and Barbie fell slightly right in front of the Uber,” she continued.

As she sat in the car, Lauren said she was in a lot of pain, so her fiancé Paul asked if she wanted to go to the hospital as her hand “really burst” at that point.
However, the host said there was no way they were going to the ER dressed as Barbie and Ken, so they decided to go home.
“We went home and put some ice on it,” Lauren continued.
“Cut to Sunday morning: I wake up with my pink eyeshadow and my palm totally blue.”

“I went to the hospital, straight to the X-ray and CT scan. “Barbie is now a trauma Barbie with four broken bones in her hands.”
At the time, a doctor told Lauren that her hand was broken so badly it looked like it had been hit by a car.
“Then I couldn’t get it.” [the engagement ring] “Off because my fingers are so swollen,” she said.
“I thought they were going to cut it off, but we managed to cut it off. ‘It’s safe and good.’
