Raiders: Davante Adams unhappy with Derek Carr being left out

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is deeply disappointed with head coach Josh McDaniels’ decision to drop quarterback Derek Carr in the final two games of the season.

After deciding to retire from the team so as not to be a distraction, Carr will make way for Jarrett Stidham for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Although the Raiders are virtually eliminated due to their 6-9 record, Adams publicly shows his dismay.

“Obviously, I don’t think there’s a single enthusiastic person. He’s a good friend of mine and one of the reasons I came here,” the former Green Bay Packers player, who was acquired during the offseason, told media. I wouldn’t want to end up where he isn’t. […] I won’t spend my time going into that, but I support my husband.”

In his last game, a 13-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, Carr had three interceptions and 16 of 30 assists.
