Traffic on the routes through Renens station, which has been interrupted since this morning due to a technical breakdown, will soon resume. “From 10.45 a.m. the Geneva-Lausanne connection will be restored: two main trains per hour in each direction will run on the entire Lausanne-Geneva route,” CFF said in a press release. “Customers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes,” they add.
Although replacement buses were quickly deployed to ensure regional services between Renens and Morges and between Lausanne and Yverdon-les-Bains, the CFF encouraged travelers not to travel on these routes. Travel times have been extended, sometimes even up to 120 minutes.
