Rapper Kanye West apologizes to Jews in Hebrew on Instagram – The Jerusalem Post

Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, posted a photo with Hebrew text on Instagram late Monday after the Christmas holiday.

The post, written entirely in Hebrew on a white background, was an apparent apology to Jews for “unplanned outbreaks caused by… [my] words or actions.

The post reads: “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for my unplanned outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or disrespect her and I deeply regret the pain I have caused. I am committed to starting this myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future.

“Your forgiveness is important to me and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity,” the post reads.

This post comes at the end of the holiday season and raises an essential question: Did Kanye West or Ye use Christmas to reflect on the last year?

Ye's active anti-Semitism caused a stir and destroyed partnerships and opportunities

Kanye West, who won the 2022 Campaign Against Antisemitism “Anti-Semite of the Year” title, went on an anti-Semitic tirade in Las Vegas on Dec. 15, according to numerous media reports and footage of the incident. Advertising

In the 10-minute rant, West also complained about the difficulties of co-parenting with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, as well as former President Donald Trump and West's former business partners.

At one point in the video, West shouted, “There are 60 million of us in America, 60 million Jews in the world.”

It is unclear what his remark refers to, as the U.S. population was five and a half times larger in 2021, at 331.9 million people, according to the World Bank. Similarly, the Jewish Agency for Israel claimed in 2023 that there were only 15.3 million Jews in the world, which is also a far cry from the 60 million West claims but goes in the opposite direction.
