Rapper Nardo Wick said he was “furious” after a horrific video showed a member of his entourage beating a fan unconscious – leaving him in critical condition with a brain bleed.
According to his family, 20-year-old George Obregon Jr. was hospitalized in critical condition after being brutally attacked by the 21-year-old rapper’s companions. He had asked Wick for a photo.
Police said the fan approached Wick, whose real name is Horace Bernard Walls III, around 1:15 a.m. after his show on Sunday at Club Skye in Tampa, Florida.
Since the ordeal, Wick has taken to social media to condemn the horrific acts – but said he “can’t control the actions of another grown man”.

The rapper wrote: “I in no way condone what happened to my fan George after my show. “I expressed to him and his mom how sorry I was and how worried I was that this happened to him, multiple times before anything even happened.”
“I immediately texted his mom my number the night it happened.” I was even going to write a post to find out who he was before his mom texted me.
“I can’t control the actions of another grown man, I don’t know that happened and I was angry when it happened.”
“I tried to stop it as you can see in the video and if anyone has the longer video you can see how angry I was. I love and appreciate all my fans and I do not condone what happened at all. “It’s not gangsta or cool.”

When Obregon appears too shocked or injured to move, another member of Wick’s entourage strikes him again several times – while Wick tells the man to “relax”.

A representative for Wick told on Tuesday: “The narrative about bodyguards or security is completely untrue.”
Wick’s manager, who goes by Qown Wick, added: “You are not directly connected to Nardo.”
Despite Wick’s public comment and condemnation, his fans have lambasted him for not doing enough while his young fan was being attacked in front of his eyes.
One person wrote: “But you stood there and did nothing.”
Another said: “Disgusting crew,” while a third warned: “This lawsuit won’t be pretty.”
And another person on social media added: “You can’t control their actions, but you can control it when you have emotionally mature people around you who have self-control.”
Others asked how much Wick had actually done for the young man: “Did you take him to the hospital?”
“Did you stay there until Medical arrived to provide him with assistance, and beyond that, did you contact the authorities and provide any information about who did this to him?”

“At no time was my son aggressive, at no time did he show any signs of injury!!!” My son wanted a stupid picture with his favorite artist!!! And that’s what he gets!!!!!! I feel sick thinking about how this could have turned out!!!!’ Obregon’s mother, Michelle, wrote on Facebook.
She added: “As a mother, I implore you to help bring justice to George Obregon Jr. Anyone who knows my son knows he is the sweetest, gentlest child ever.” No drugs, alcohol, gang, nothing! I’m dying here and my damn heart hurts so bad it makes me sick. I can not keep calm.’

One comment said: “The fact that you have substandard security who can’t even control his temper and put the child in intensive care. The lawsuit is about to get crazy. I hope you talk about it.”
Another added: “You really need new bodyguards because what they did to your fan wasn’t cute.”
A third commenter wrote: “You and all these rappers promoting violence, guns and drugs and then your people here send their fans to the hospital…disgusting man.”
However, some of the rapper’s fans stood by Wick, noting that he pulled one of Obregon’s men and appeared to tell his entourage to “relax.”
‘Nardo told them to “relax” and pushed them away. “So let’s not pretend Nardo was just sitting there,” one commenter wrote on Instagram.
Another said: “Nardo wanted to stop, he didn’t even know what was going on, the boy ran and his people reacted automatically because you never know.”
