American hip-hop megastar Sean Combs, also known as Puff Daddy or Diddy, was charged in New York on Thursday with years of rape and physical violence at the hands of R&B singer Casandra Ventura, her stage name Cassie.

According to a court document from the Manhattan federal prosecutor’s office, “Mr. Combs raped Ms. Ventura in her home after she tried to leave him in 2018.
He “often punched, kicked, slapped and trampled on her, resulting in bruises, split lips, black eyes and bleeding,” according to the 35-page lawsuit filed Thursday with the U.S. federal judiciary.
This document published Thursday evening, first reported by The New York Times, also targets the rap musician and producer’s companies and labels: Bad Boy Entertainment, Bad Boy Records, Epic Records, Combs Enterprises and Doe Corporations 1- 10.
The American justice system, which took the testimony against Ms. Ventura, who met Mr. Combs in 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37, accused the rap star of engaging in “violent behavior” and “deviant demands” that ” “more than…” lasted a decade”.
“For Ms. Ventura, the ‘dark time’ was the one she experienced when she was caught in a cycle of sexual assault, violence and human trafficking by Mr. Combs,” singer Cassie’s complaint further highlights.
Ben Brafman, Mr Combs’ New York lawyer, “vigorously” denied the allegations, calling them “offensive and scandalous” in a statement to AFP.
However, the ad describes a violent man who even forces the victim to film sexual relations with male prostitutes.
Ms. Ventura “cannot continue to live in silence after what she has been through,” the court document emphasizes.
“Mr. Combs remains immensely powerful and dangerous. Ms. Ventura is demanding justice for the decade of life that Mr. Combs took from her through threats of violence, drug addiction, physical and psychological abuse, and sexual slavery.
Mr. Combs, 54, founded his company Bad Boy in 1993, a glorious decade for this important figure in the marketing and media coverage of the hip-hop scene, a musical and artistic movement that was born in New York 50 years ago in August was 1973.
