According to multiple reports, famed rapper Yo Gotti's brother “Big Jook” was killed in a shooting outside a Memphis restaurant on Saturday in what police are calling a targeted attack.
Memphis police were flagged down for reports of shots fired outside the Perignons Restaurant & Event Center around 4:15 p.m., where two men were shot.
One victim, Anthony “Big Jook” Mims, was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Fox 13.
A second person was taken to the same hospital in a private car before being flown to Regional One Health in Memphis in critical condition.
Memphis Police Deputy Chief Paul Wright said both victims were at the restaurant for dinner.
According to TMZ, Mims, the “I Am” rapper's older brother, had attended a memorial service for a relative in the area earlier in the day

Police have not identified any of the suspects and no arrests have been made.
“We believe the person who was shot may have been targeted by the suspect,” Wright said during a news conference.
Police have not been able to establish a connection with the rapper while the investigation is still in its preliminary stages.
On Big Jook's Instagram page, he promotes his brother's record label, CMG the Label, also known as Collective Media Group, and has appeared in several music videos released by the label, although they mostly dealt with the business side.

Yo Gotti, whose real name is Mario Sentell Giden Mims, entered the rap world as Lil Yo in 1996 with his debut album Youngsta's On a Come Up.
He later changed his stage name to Yo Gotti and was nominated for several BET Hip Hop Awards, including Album of the Year for “I Am” in 2014.
The rapper has appeared on tracks with Nicki Minaj, Lil Uzi Vert and Kanye West.
