The dodgy and physical running back had a strong start to 2022 but suffered a fractured fibula in Week 5 during Seattle’s 39-32 loss to New Orleans and underwent surgery at the end of the season.
Now with the NFC Champion Eagles, Penny will look to prove he can be elite while sharing the backfield with Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and Trey Sermon.
Now that Penny is signed, here are six takeaways from his introductory press conference.
Penny suffered a cruciate ligament tear, a calf injury that put him on injured reserve in late 2020 and a broken leg that limited him to five games in 2022.

The biggest question mark surrounding Penny is his injury history and his inability to stay healthy for an entire season.
Penny said his goal is to play all 17 games for Philadelphia in 2023.
