Rashid is the only artist cast at Lollapalooza as of 2019. but the reason is not so happy. So far he has never been able to perform at the festival, which is repeatedly interrupted due to bad weather.

As the area is sensitive to lightning, the organization has implemented several security procedures. Most often, the festival is stopped until the situation improves.
Without completing the presentation, Rashid won another spot at the next Lollapalooza in 2020. Due to the pandemic, the event did not take place and the invitation was postponed to 2022.
“Now my expectations are back, but I’ve already had the experience that things might not go as planned,” he said ahead of this year’s show g1.
Said and done. Everything was ready for the rapper’s show on Lolla’s main stage, but a rain interrupted dreams of doing the presentation again.

Now Rashid has another chance to finally start (and finish) the concert at the festival this Sunday (26th).
“My mentality is: I have 1 hour for the big show, which has been stuck in my throat since 2019. (lol),” he commented to g1.
“I think it’s difficult to process and put into words. Because it’s obvious that I’m getting anxious, but at the same time it’s scary because you’re sure it won’t happen twice. I dare not say it is impossible”.
With so much time, the show’s proposal has changed over the years.
Rashid has released the album “Movimento Rapid dos Olhos” in November 2022 and is scheduled to sing new songs, but sees the opportunity as a moment to review his career. Read the interview below.

g1 What are you preparing for the show at Lollapalooza?
Rashid My mentality is: I have 1 hour for the big show, which has been stuck in my throat since 2019. (lol)
We’ve just released an album, Movimento Rapid dos Olhos, and we’re on our way with that work, but Lollapalooza Brasil’s show requires a special montage.
I have to tell the story of the journey here for those who already know me and for those who will meet me there, so I can’t help but bring back some songs that shaped my career. This show is a bridge with the best thing that has happened in my career over the last few years.
g1 What’s the expectation?
Rashid Right now I want to be able to control my anticipation but it’s hard. Perhaps someone who sees everything from the outside doesn’t understand the scale, the dream of attending Lollapalooza Brazil and the frustration of not being able to deliver your show. Being on this stage is a great and absurd thing for us.
But I’m a music worker and a guy who is embraced with things of faith, energy and spirituality. My part is to ask for wisdom and protection and to do my part which is to be a tool of art.
As an artistic tool, I always want to put on my best show, one that washes everyone’s soul, that leaves people with a smile on their face and knowing that they felt something different when they sang with me.
g1 how has this show changed from a year ago to now?
Rashid A lot has changed: we have new elements in the band, the musical direction has become more imaginative, new songs have been born, new hits have arrived and of course all the stages we have entered in the past year have also made us more mature.
So now is the time when we are most ready to be there. And there’s one more element that I absolutely have to mention: everyone on the team is dying to do this show!
