Spencer Rattler wants to continue playing for the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Rattler announced this on Tuesday evening that he would join Antwane Wells and return to Columbia for the 2023 season. In 2022, Rattler completed 66 percent of his passes for 3,026 yards with 18 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. A former 5-star Arizona recruit, Rattler transferred from Oklahoma to South Carolina, where he has spent the last three seasons.

“The time just flew by,” he told reporters after the Gator Bowl. “That was the fastest year of my life. I feel football-like – it sounds crazy that I came here almost a year ago. This year is such a blessing. God had me here for a reason. I will definitely pray for my decision and see what God has in store for me next. I’m definitely going to pray about it, talk to my family, talk to a lot of people.”
