Former Disney Channel star Anneliese van de Pol was overjoyed on Wednesday when she and boyfriend Johnno Wilson announced their engagement.
The 39-year-old actress and her actor-comedian boyfriend shared their happy news on Instagram with photos of Johnno getting down on one knee to shock Anneliese with her engagement ring.
The lovebirds also thanked a company that made it all possible: Disney, which airs its series Raven's Home, which is a sequel to the previous Disney Channel show That's So Raven.
Their engagement came shortly after Anneliese's former co-star Raven-Symoné announced that her brother had died after a two-year battle with colon cancer.
“Thank you @Disney for introducing me to my ex-spouse from TV and my real-life fiancé.”[e]”Wilson wrote in his post, which Anneliese shared on her account.

He also added the date of their engagement, “❤️12.23.23❤️,” revealing that they waited several days before sharing their happy news.
In her photos, Johnno used her Christmas decorations as the perfect backdrop for his marriage proposal.
He wore a smart black blazer, beige trousers and dark shoes and a white shirt without a tie.
Anneliese was styled more casually, wearing a cozy cream sweater with baggy tan pants and beige suede shoes.
Despite the relaxed atmosphere, she wore her strawberry blonde hair styled in elegant waves that fell over her shoulders.
Johnno's ring case appeared to have a light that illuminated his fiancée's face when he opened it.
Afterwards she hugged him and they both looked thrilled.
In one photo, they leaned in for a hug, and in another, Johnno pointed at the camera as if to reveal that someone had documented the whole thing.
They concluded with a photo of Anneliese's hand as she sipped a glass of what looked like champagne in celebration.
Anneliese is best known for her appearances in both the original That's So Raven and the sequel Raven's Home.

The two met after being cast in the sequel to That's So Raven series, Raven's Home. Johnno played Anneliese's character Chelsea's ex-husband, who was the title character's best friend
Anneliese previously worked with star Raven-Symoné on the original Disney Channel series, although she hinted that she was asked to leave both shows before they finished their courses
She played the titular character's goofy best friend, Chelsea Daniels, but left both the original series and the ongoing sequel before their end.
The actress, who has also worked on stage and as a singer, has not commented on why she left both series, but suggested in a TikTok video from earlier this year that she had been asked to leave both series .
Wilson had a much smaller connection to the franchise. Ironically, he only appeared in Raven's Home to play his future fiancée's ex-husband, Garrett Grayson.
The series was revived in 2017 and last aired its sixth season – without Anneliese or Johnno – in April this year.
