The field is set! After a stellar regular season, No. 15 Arkansas (25-8, 13-5 SEC) earned the 4th seed in the Western Region of the NCAA Tournament. The Razorbacks will face 13-seeded Vermont (28-5, 17-1 America East) in the Round of 16 on Thursday, March 17 at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York.

After returning home from the SEC tournament, the Hogs hosted an SEC Club meeting on Sunday at Razorback Stadium. Head coach Eric Musselman quickly addressed the crowd after the bracket announcement, where he encouraged fans to head northeast to support the run and signaled that the catamounts would be fully focused on them.

“Obviously, this is a really special day for our team and our program,” Musselman said. “We are thrilled to represent the university and the state in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. We hope to see some of you in Buffalo. The team we play with, Vermont, is a really, really good offensive team. They control the pace. One of the slowest teams in the country. Really good shooting team. And in terms of rebounding, they are one of the best defensive rebounding teams in the entire country.

“We have a lot of work. We will have great respect for Vermont. As a team, we will begin to prepare. a bit of Vermont as we prepare to get out on the floor tomorrow and dive into it. But it was a great season. Our guys have been playing so hard during the long college basketball season and now we’ve got a second life in us and are ready to represent you next week.”

Here are a few highlights from interviews with Musselman, J.D. Notae and Jalyn Williams.
