The 46-year-old Real Housewives Of New Jersey star battled anorexia for 20 years, but she didn’t tell her cast members until season 12.
In her excerpt, she wrote, “Cast trips were the hardest part of every season because there were so many meals to contend with and so many excuses to make, and I couldn’t just go home and not eat alone.”
“I had two tasks on cast trips: the first was to film a reality show, and the second was to eat so much that no one thought I had a problem without eating so much that my life would be ruined Joints would be advised.”

She added: “The latter task was undoubtedly more difficult.”
Jackie said that before the outings, she made a “plan with a detailed calorie plan” spread throughout the day.
And the blonde had excuses for not eating.
“The rules were all written down in my food diary, so I could always check to see if I made any mistakes in anything I ate that day.”
“And it worked, I thought. Two years into being a stay-at-home mom, no one noticed I was sick.
“No one had noticed that I was torturing myself every minute of the day, or that I was starving as I moved the food around on my plate to get to the salad. Nobody had noticed that I was anorexic.’
She spoke to People in February.
“I wrote this book so people could truly understand how terrible and insidious an eating disorder can be,” Goldschneider said.

“My story shows how quickly you can get caught up in diet culture and how shameful it can be to live with so many secrets.”
She continued, “This book is for anyone who has ever known or loved someone with an eating disorder, and for the millions of people who struggle with themselves.”
Goldschneider has repeatedly spoken about her eating disorder on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” since joining the show’s ninth season in 2018.
She was a cast member from the ninth to the twelfth seasons before being demoted to a friend for the most recent installment of the series.
In “The Weight of Beautiful,” Goldschneider goes deeper than ever before in the series.
“All Jackie Goldschneider ever wanted was to be thin,” reads the book’s official description. “As a child, she stood in front of the mirror, sucking in her stomach and arching her back to feel her ribs, praying to see a model figure looking back.
“As an overweight teenager, lonely and tormented by her weight, her doctor encouraged her to start dieting, which ultimately led to a long battle with anorexia that almost cost her her life,” it said.
Slim: “I had two jobs on cast trips: the first was filming a reality show, and the second was eating enough to make sure no one thought I had a problem without eating so much “eat that my life would collapse.” She added; seen in May
The description goes on to say that she hid her disorder from friends and family for years before saying Jackie would “reveal the reality of her devastating battle with anorexia, including the harrowing everyday tactics she used to count calories and restrict meals .”’
The book will also reportedly touch on her struggles getting pregnant and the impact joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey had on her life.
She told People just a few months ago that she had “turned the corner” in her recovery from her years-long eating disorder.
Goldschneider went on to say that she would not have been able to do all of the necessary work if she had not progressed from being a leading lady to becoming a friend of the series.
Last year, Jackie spoke about how her eating disorder affected her children in an interview with Us Weekly.

Enjoy a family vacation: She has two sets of twins, 14-year-olds Adin and Jonas and 11-year-olds Alexis and Hudson, with her husband Evan
“The eating disorder controlled everything,” she explained. “It really changes everything in your life.”
She added that she could finally enjoy spring break with her family. She and her husband Evan have two sets of twins, 14-year-olds Adin and Jonas and 11-year-olds Alexis and Hudson.
“I never went away for more than four nights because … the fear of going out more than four nights in a row was too great,” she said of the break. “Even if it was four nights, I wouldn’t eat one night if we went out to dinner.”
“I enjoyed every single meal with my family,” she added. “I wasn’t hungry at all. “We did so many more activities because I wasn’t just in starvation mode.”
