The Real Housewives of New Jersey personality Lauren Manzo is divorcing her husband Vito Scalia after eight years of marriage.

Scalia, 37, cited “irreconcilable differences” with Manzo, 35, in divorce papers he filed in New Jersey on Sept. 5, The Sun reported Monday.

Scalia, a restaurateur, said in court papers that he and Manzo had ongoing problems for “at least six months,” which led to the “disintegration of their marriage.”

Scalia said in court documents served on Manzo on Sept. 29 that it was “obvious that the marriage should be dissolved” because “there was no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.”

The former couple are parents to six-year-old daughter Marchesa.

A few days after Manzo was served with divorce papers, an attorney for the reality star told the court that he would represent her in future court proceedings regarding custody and support, according to The Sun.

Manzo’s attorney said he “oversees all financial matters, including but not limited to alimony, equitable distribution and attorney’s fees,” the outlet reported

The Sun reported that Scalia submitted a prenuptial agreement to the court last July before filing for divorce.

Manzo, who announced earlier this year that she had lost 80 pounds, indirectly touched on the topic of her marital dispute last summer when a fan asked her on social media where Scalia had been.

Manzo said she was “allowed to retain aspects of it.” [her] personal life, especially after the birth of a child,” according to The Sun.

The Sun reported that “the former couple apparently still lives together in Wayne, New Jersey,” as their addresses listed in the divorce documents are identical.

The couple first tied the knot in June 2015 at St. Cyril’s Church in New York City, followed by a reception at The Brownstone Restaurant in Paterson, New Jersey.

The proceedings were filmed and broadcast on Bravo.

Scalia addressed rumors of marital strife in January 2018, telling Page Six that rumors of a split were “absolutely not true.”

He then said in a Facebook post: “We just don’t put our relationship on social media and people can’t seem to understand that. ‘We are perfect!!!!!!’

Scalia and Manzo’s paths first crossed through Manzo’s brother Albie, who was a classmate of Scalia’s at Fordham University; and got engaged in November 2013.

Lauren is the daughter of former RHONJ star Caroline Manzo and appeared on her spin-off Manzo’d with Children, which ran for three years on Bravo from 2014 to 2016.
