“Real Housewives of Sydney” star Dr. Kate Adams shares devastating health diagnosis following her hospital stay

“Real Housewives of Sydney” star Dr. Kate Adams has shared a heartbreaking video revealing that she is struggling with an undisclosed kidney problem.

The celebrity vet, 41, who appeared on the second season of RHOS, took to Instagram Stories on Thursday with a clip from her hospital bed and explained to fans why she had been out of action for some time.

“The very short story is that my kidneys aren't working so well.” “They thought it was some sort of immune attack on my kidneys because I always get tonsillitis,” Kate began.

“So they thought they would remove my tonsils to see if that would protect the immune system from attacking the kidneys. “So far that hasn't worked,” she lamented.

Sadly, Kate said her kidneys are still “deteriorating” despite having her tonsils removed on Monday, adding: “So that's bad. 'Very very bad.'

“I have a kidney biopsy tomorrow.” It will be uncomfortable, I’m sure. How do I feel about this? I don't feel great. “I'm pretty upset about the whole thing,” she admitted.

“But I just take it day by day. My hair hasn't been washed in a very long time. My throat obviously hurts a lot. My face is very swollen. It is what it is, right?'

Kate went on to reveal how she was doing mentally in the hospital: she regularly applied luxurious moisturizer, carried a heart-shaped piece of rose quartz, used her AirPods and chatted with friends on the phone.

The Bondi Vet owner confessed on the TV Reload podcast that she loved the drama she created with her housewives and would do it again.

Kate has been at the center of several arguments on the show – with Krissy Marsh over the veteran housewife's cruel comments about her and with Victoria Montana over the fashion and lifestyle consultant's penchant for fur.

“There seems to be a clear divide between the girls about returning next year. When the show picks up again, will we see a bigger rift between you?' host Benjamin Norris asked her.

“When alliances form, the show starts to stop working. “You can see that pretty clearly in the first season,” she replied.

Kate began her career with an appearance on Bondi Vet and made her debut on season two of RHOS late last year.

In October, Kate revealed that while she enjoyed her time on RHOS, she has no plans to quit her job as she loves animals too much to even think about it.
