Reasonable doubt… and powerful – Le Soleil

This detective series focused on sex crimes is now in its third season and is getting better every year.

And since it's 2024, it's never too late to continue a series that has already started airing; The first two episodes are available on ICI Tou.tv, a third on Extra.

We know that Alice Martin-Sommer (Julie Perreault), who played escort on the Internet to track down attackers, was exposed by her partner Fred (Marc-André Grondin). The difficult secret risks jeopardizing their professional relationship, especially since Chef Dorcely (Benz Antoine) keeps an eye on things.

Then the real estate agent Rémy Deblois appears, whom Alice wants to lure into a trap, even though he is deprived of her role as a cam girl. Is Pierre-Yves Cardinal, who played an abusive husband in A Criminal Affair, also a bastard in this new role? Very fascinating.

But it's the Sexual Crimes Investigation Unit's investigation that most captivates Reasonable Doubt. The first episode, which spans two episodes, is about a university student who is a victim of gang rape.

The author manages to sow doubts in our minds like in Fred's when we discover that Aida Morin (Victoria Leblanc) has given her consent via video. But agree to who and why?

Alice is sensitive to the contamination of memories and has an instinct that makes her an excellent investigator. Julie Perreault's clear and nuanced acting makes it even more effective. This actress impresses me.

The second investigation, which will be completed next Monday in a single episode, is no less interesting: that of a drunken policewoman, Catherine O'Connor (Jeanne Roux-Côté), who was attacked one evening in a car by a group of well-drunk colleagues.

She says she is convinced of the identity of the colleague who attacked her, Vitali Melnyk (Sasha Samar). What if her memories lead her to the wrong suspect?

GICCS investigator Charline (Gabrielle Poulin B.) knows more than she is currently saying.

Alice must battle the tunnel vision of her headstrong internal affairs colleague, Simon Ledoux (Richard Robitaille), who has only one perpetrator on his list and is determined to get it done. GICCS investigator Charline (Gabrielle Poulin B.), who is withdrawing from the case due to a conflict of interest, knows more than she is saying at the moment.

The result might surprise you. I never saw it coming.

Produced by Fabienne Larouche and Michel Trudeau at Ætios, the series changed writer and director in the second season; Danielle Dansereau was replaced by Annabelle Poisson and Pierre-Marc Drouin (sole writer of the third season) and Claude Desrosiers by Jean-Philippe Duval, which certainly gave new impetus to the work on 10 one-hour episodes.

For addicts like me, we release a new episode every Monday evening on ICI Tou.tv Extra, a week before it airs on ICI Télé.

In my opinion one of the best detective series this season with Classé Secret on Addik and Detective Surprise on Club illico.

The Voice, No. 1 and recording for Téléjournal Montréal

“Lavoice 10 ans,” which highlighted the first decade of Charles Lafortune's reality TV before its big premiere next Sunday, drew 1,082,000 viewers on TVA, making it the most-watched Sunday show. Close behind is the ever-popular goose that lays golden eggs, followed by 951,000 followers.

Éric Lapointe's mea culpa to Sophie Durocher brought together 837,000 curious people.

On Noovo, Big Brother Celebrities has 681,000 followers. Alternative solution to the Gala Québec Cinéma, which ICI Télé gave to Noovo. In a cinema near you with Karine Vanasse, only 188,000 cinemagoers were interested.

In the Montreal market, Radio-Canada boasts of having the most-watched 6 p.m. show last fall with 252,000 regular customers, according to television viewership data from Numeris. A record for Patrice Roy's Le Téléjournal, overtaking Sophie Thibault's TVA Nouvelles, for which it was the second return after the departure of Pierre Bruneau.

Figures disputed by TVA because they do not include data from LCN, which broadcasts the same bulletin at 6 p.m., while ICI RDI instead presents the Zone économique at that time.

If we only consider the numbers from ICI Télé and TVA, the 6 p.m. newscast had not performed better than its rival since Simon Durivage's first reign tonight in Montreal, in the early '90s, over 30 years ago.

In addition, 10 of the 20 most watched programs in the fall belong to ICI Télé, seven of which are millionaires: STAT (1,667,000), En direct de l'univers (1,245,000), Discussions avec mes parents (1,147,000), Infoman (1,123,000), Tout le monde en talk (live broadcasts) (1,120,000), 5th place (1,093,000) and À coeur cœur (1,023,000).
