Australian actress Rebel Wilson (Sydney, 42) and her girlfriend, California businesswoman Ramona Agruma, 37, have announced their engagement. “We have said yes,” said the interpreter of Giving the note (2012) or Jojo Rabbit (2019), who shared two images of the marriage proposal.
The place where the rings were exchanged – one of the Disney parks in the US where marriage proposals and weddings are made – couldn’t be more fitting to add the icing on the cake to their story. “I thought I was looking for my Disney prince… but maybe I really needed a Disney princess right now,” the artist explained when going public with her relationship with Ramona Agruma via social media last June.

In the shared pictures, Wilson and Agruma can be seen wearing matching pink and white striped jumpers with a black heart in the centre. One of the photos shows the couple kissing while the businesswoman stretches out her arm to show off her ring. In the other photo, the couple can be seen in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle, on their knees, smiling and under a shower of flowers. At the moment, they haven’t announced when (or where) the link will take place.
Like the announcement of their relationship last June, which received many expressions of affection through social networks from other actresses such as Melanie Griffith, Anna Kendrick or Elizabeth Banks, the announcement of their marriage excited them. “I love you girls! So happy for you two! Such a magical way to get engaged. Congratulations!” wrote Paris Hilton, a good friend of Wilson’s, in the comments section for the release. Actresses Rosie O’Donnell and Tori Spelling also wrote to congratulate the couple.
2022 has been a very sweet year for Wilson on a personal level. Speaking to People magazine last May, the actress admitted she was dating someone, without revealing who. “Before we saw each other in person, we talked on the phone for weeks. And it was a great opportunity to meet. A bit dated but very romantic,” he admitted.
The person behind those long phone calls was Ramona Agruma, now his fiancé and founder of a clothing company called Lemon Ve Limon, based in Los Angeles, California. In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, he explained more details about their relationship. “It could have been a simple friendship, but I think there was a real connection,” he admitted. The Australian has also said that while her family has happily accepted their relationship, her friend’s family “were not that receptive” and that she hopes their attitude will change soon.
In addition to sealing his love with the businesswoman, Wilson gave birth to a daughter through a surrogate last November. “I am beyond proud to announce the birth of my first daughter, Royce Lillian, who was born via surrogate last week,” she posted on her Instagram account. “Now I have a family.”
