Announcements of canceled concerts (or their postponement) are nothing new. However, when a new update of this kind comes to light, one cannot help but also remember the recent past. On February 28, today, Adele called in sick and talked about the much-needed break for her upcoming Las Vegas residency shows in March 2024.
Pictured from left to right: Drake, Adele, aespa.(Instagram)Her Instagram post made it clear how she continued to suffer the effects of her illness since the final leg of her tour. As things continued to go downhill, she had no choice but to take the necessary break on the doctor's orders. The following Adele Las Vegas concert dates – March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 – are postponed for the time being.

Many fans confirmed her update by showering her with immense love and claiming, “After 80 shows, you already deserve a break.” However, not everyone came with the same bouquet of warmth and love. While we wait for more official information on Adele Las Vegas' new concert dates, according to Ticketmaster, these shows are scheduled to begin on May 17, 2024.

Although in Adele's case, music shows were postponed for no good reason, other stories didn't necessarily follow the same tone. Many concert cancellations often came out of nowhere, with no good reason for the heartbreaking revelation. Here are some alarming “concert cancellation” breaks that have garnered mixed reactions from fans.
Other concerts have been canceled/postponed recently
Drake's has had a tenuous connection to Denver in recent months. This bad blood apparently also “broke” Cash Coleman’s heart, as 9News reports.

Originally scheduled to perform at Ball Arena in September 2023, Drake postponed that date to January 2024. Another sad revelation followed as the new dates grew ever closer. The Canadian rapper's show in Denver was reportedly postponed again in January due to an ankle injury.
While another set of IT'S ALL A BLUR TOUR – BIG AS THE WHAT? Replacement concert dates followed for a show in April 2024, but these were ultimately removed from the Ticketmaster calendar.
A similar sense of déjà vu emerged when Champagne Papi's Memphis concert dates at FedExForum were also canceled. He was scheduled to perform there on April 8th. In addition, a stop in Birmingham on March 27th was also canceled.
Since several of these data have been completely deleted, the reasons for these cancellations are more unclear than ever. “God’s Plan” doesn’t seem to have any impact on Drake fans.
2. Krazy Super Concert postponed
The parade of this K-pop concert, scheduled to take place at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on February 9th and 10th, 2024, experienced “heavy rains in the Southern California region.” If it had set the LA stage ablaze on the dates mentioned, it would have been the second edition of the Krazy K-Pop Super Concert series, which began in New York in 2023.
The original LA Krazy Super Concert lineup was scheduled to welcome CL, The Kid Laroi, aespa, (G)I-DLE, THE BOYZ, ZEROBASEONE, Taeyang, Lauv and AB6IX. However, since the show's new dates have not yet been announced, it remains unclear whether the same line-up of artists will be present at the future music festival.
Even though refunds are being given for these canceled shows, large fan bases are going to great lengths to reserve a spot for these unique moments in their life's calendar. While health issues are entirely separate issues and require a pause without debate, these random cancellations have proven to be troubling events.
I wish Adele a speedy recovery!
