Nubia has revealed details of a RedMagic-branded gaming tablet that will be announced tomorrow alongside the RedMagic 8S Pro. Previously, the company presented the design of the tablet screen, which was discussed separately. She has since confirmed that the gaming tablet will be based on a 12.1-inch BOE display.

In addition, the display is said to deliver a maximum brightness of 600 nits with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz and 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage. For some reason, Nubia hasn’t confirmed the screen resolution yet. However, the specification “2.5K” and an aspect ratio of 16:10 imply a native resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. Additionally, the RedMagic gaming tablet will feature a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, which is said to have surpassed the 1.37 million point mark in AnTuTu v10.

While Qualcomm has upgraded to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the Snapdragon 8 Plus chipset Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 remains the flagship chipset of choice among tablet manufacturers, with the exception of Samsung and its upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 series. In addition, Nubia has equipped the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 with a 10,000 mAh battery that supports 80W wired charging. Nubia has yet to comment on global availability, which likely makes the RedMagic gaming tablet a Chinese exclusive for now.
