In a press release, Reunion MP Jean-HuguesRatenon reacts to the conditioned RSA, whose island has been chosen as the experimental department.
Press release by Jean-Hugues Ratenon:
RSA conditional: heavy blow to the poorest
A few days before Christmas and New Year: Here is the gift from Macron and his government to the poorest. The beneficiaries of this solidarity income should work 15 or 20 hours soon, on January 1, 2023, to continue to benefit from this benefit.
Our department has indeed been chosen to be part of the experimental areas of this reform. A low blow.
1- The political majority is 18
The criminal majority is 18 years old
Social majority must also be determined at the age of 18. Open up the benefit of the RSA to 18-25 year olds
2- If the government wants to impose a counterpart to work on the beneficiaries of the RSA, it means there is work! So why not hire under the common law: 35 hours at minimum wage?
3- Isn’t this reform dangerous in the precariousness of jobs and cheap labor for companies?
4- What safeguards are in place to really support RSA receivers?
Will they really benefit from training, supervision and support To this process for a real job?
5- Is the co-worker paid and is it on top of the RSA? If so, what about the various social benefits associated with this allowance? Are the resource caps always calculated at the level of the RSA?
There is no answer to any of these questions. The government says the specifications will be finalized in the coming weeks. Let’s hope he doesn’t come out with a 49-3 as he is used to muzzle all the players in this record: first the beneficiaries and the federations.
The consultation must be as wide as possible, at the risk of misunderstandings that could lead to a serious social crisis.
