Who was Cristopher Arauz?
According to Luis Pastor to LA PRENSA, the 34-year-old Araúz was a versatile, noble, funny, accessible and “very talkative” guitarist. “I have known him for many years because we worked together on different projects in Nicaragua, when he was part of different groups, we gave concerts together, I was with him at the Rubén Darío National Theater when we did joint activities with Juan Solórzano”, says the singer-songwriter.
Pastor assures that Araúz was his regular guitarist in the United States and they performed concerts, recordings and videos and participated in various musical projects together. “A month ago we went to two concerts in Atlanta, and in December we also did a few activities related to Christmas Eve. “I obviously had a very close relationship because we shared a lot of moments, so rehearsals, concerts, travel, plane trips, land trips.”
Pastor describes that Araúz was a loving father and every time they started concerts, he would call his family to share every moment. “I always shared his love, his devotion with his family there in Nicaragua, because every time we wanted to start rehearsal, he communicated with the family via video call, he put them up so I could greet them, he showed “His son, he sang to him, I told my son stories via video call, so very, very nice things,” remembers Pastor, moved by Araúz's death.
