‘Remember The Titans’ star Ethan Suplee is in tatters after losing more than half his body weight – OutKick

Ethan Suplee is best known for his roles as Randy Hickey on My Name Is Earl and Louie Lastik on Remember The Titans. In both cases he was considered overweight.

That is no longer the case. Suplee is shredded.

At 46, Suplee has lost half his weight, if not more. Having once tipped the scales at 536 pounds, he’s extremely proud of how far he’s come.

He recently shared a before and after photo on Instagram and it’s pretty amazing. Suplee can be seen at his heaviest in the 2001 film Blow and today in the gym with an incredibly different physique.

Suplee attributes his weight loss journey to falling in love. In an interview with People (the TV show!), Suplee explained that his wife, Brandy Lewis, made him see life differently.

For the first time in my life, I was interested in the future and my experiences with it. Like spending a day walking through a museum or going on an excursion or hike that I just wasn’t physically able to do.

Since then, Suplee has focused on getting in shape, and he has done so.

Suplee lost 250 pounds since he was heaviest. Throughout his journey, Suplee has documented the progress on his American Glutton podcast — even opening up about the “brutal” process of undergoing two major surgeries to remove excess skin.

It took a lot of work, of course, but the father of four wants the focus to be on achieving one thing at a time, rather than specific numbers. While the weight loss is great, it’s the satisfaction of accomplishing a small goal and the motivation to be better today than yesterday that really keeps Suplee going.
