Watch the opening of the soap opera Renascer
The machete got stuck nearby Jequitibá Rei, the birth of children and the passing of inheritance from father to son. These moments that mean so much and tell the journey of José Inocêncio are found in the opening of Renascer, released this Monday (22) together with the first chapter of the remake of the original plot of Benedito Ruy Barbosa.
In the clip, which takes over the soundtrack to “Lua Soberana” and is now reinterpreted in the voices of Luedji Luna and Xênia França, two concepts are evident: the symbiosis between man and nature and the cyclicality of life. Julia Rocharesponsible for the creation, direction and artistic direction of the opening, and Camila Crespowho also created and directed the video explains the idea in an interview with gshow:
“José Inocêncio's pact with Jequitibá connects his soul to the earth by planting his machete at the foot of this ancestral tree. The beginning begins and ends in the same place and represents this connection. As does the plot that speaks of a legacy between father and son, back to his roots in a cycle that never ends. It is a beginning, a middle and a beginning. He is born again.”

The two creators of the opening say that it was divided into five acts: it begins with Inocêncio's connection with the land, continues through the planting, the birth of his children and the battles between father and son, until he finally reaches redemption with water , that washes and heals the past.
The Globo brand and communications team responsible for the video, which also included the producers Vanderson Castro It is Fernanda Dewayin addition to the Bahian producer FFÅ (together with the director Oh Cruz and the editor Gustavo Korontai), conducted a real recording in Bahia itself, where the action takes place.
For example, the workers seen in the opening come from Fazenda Renascer, the filming location of the 9 o'clock soap opera. Shooting in Ilhéus lasted two days, with images also taken at another local farm and in an environmental protection area at the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC).
“All this production work to film in the Cabruca [sistema de plantão de cacau] It was a challenge to open it. “In nature we have no influence on the climate, light and other possible unforeseen events,” say Júlia and Camila.

When composing the photo, the Cabruca's natural light and shadow were used to advantage. To enhance the lighting effect, the team added a “layer of magic in the selection of special lenses and filters” in addition to the use of fog machines that give the forest that glow and magical effect.
“We were looking for a language where the lens offers more of a holistic view of nature, with fluid movements, camera in hand. The cropping from bottom to top and vice versa reinforces our intention to show the prism of the Earth in these environments.”
Therefore, cocoa cultivation practically becomes a character. “We also incorporated sound design that enhances this invisible presence of nature, combining the sounds of the forest with the sounds of the path,” they explain.

“It is a project that deeply touches Brazilians and our memories. That makes this responsibility even greater,” guarantee Júlia and Camila.
“For us, immersing ourselves in this universe of cocoa and soap opera was a rich learning experience. Getting to know the region, the cocoa growing process, the people involved and the respect with which they treat the land was very valuable.”
