Report: Broncos among teams interested in pass rusher, free agent, von Miller

The Denver Broncos are among the teams interested in signing future free agent Von Miller, according to Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson.

According to Wilson, the Broncos are interested in reuniting with Miller, whom they traded during the trade deadline to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. However, sources tell Wilson that a reunion is not a priority for Miller at the moment.

The Denver Broncos, Miller’s former team that traded him to the Rams last season, are also showing interest. However, a reunion is not necessarily Miller’s first choice, according to the source.

As we know, the Broncos are looking for a replacement for Miller after his passing numbers plummeted after he was traded. Also, getting a player in the second and third rounds only to re-sign him a few months later would have been a masterstroke by general manager George Paton. However, a reunion seems unlikely.

As for the teams that are Miller’s favorites, the Rams are obviously the favorites. However, Von wants to test the waters first and see what’s going on there, as this is the first time in his career he’s able to do so.

Wilson also notes that the Broncos’ rivals the Los Angeles Chargers are also expected to show interest. Former Miller linebacker coach Brandon Staley is the head coach there, so there’s a connection there. Pairing him with Joey Boza could be a nightmare for the Broncos.

Another team expected to show interest is the Green Bay Packers. Their cap situation changes due to Aaron Rodgers’ decision, clouding their future. If Rogers does come back, Vaughn could try another ring with the Packers.

Or

The Broncos trade Rodgers and Vaughn returns to the Broncos and helps them get back and win the Super Bowl.

We can dream.
