Report: Colts held talks with Aaron Rodgers’ agent for an extension – ‘if available hypothetically’

According to KOAColorado Benjamin Albright, Indianapolis Colts— Along with the Pittsburgh Steelers, they are among potential NFL fans who previously negotiated with the Green Bay Packers quarterback. Aaron Rogersagent regarding his demands for an upcoming contract extension – “if he were hypothetically available”:

Now, just for the record, NFL teams get involved all the time, and if you think that after two teams complete a blockbuster trade, the buying team first turns to the acquired star player camp, as they say, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell to you?

The current NFL MVP, who enters the final year of his current contract with the Packers with a whopping $46.7 million, has yet to make a final decision on whether he will end his future career in the Green Bay Hall of Fame or decide to become traded in elsewhere –although such a possible league change decision is expected soon.

Rest assured, wherever he continues to play, he will have to revise his contract and get a lucrative contract extension…with rumors of a short-term deal that could make him the highest paid player in football currently annually.

Now, before anyone gets carried away with the Colts as seriously “winning and dining” Rogers as a potential leading dark horse to win the cutthroat lotteries, Albright also almost simultaneously destroyed Indianapolis as a serious trading destination for the much sought after 4x NFL. MVP – in one fell swoop:

This means, however, that even with the best odds, the Colts are clearly doing their due diligence on potential big fish upgrades in the starting quarterback, as well as in their drive to kick off the offseason to implement every possible upgrade available.

While the chances of hitting Rodgers right now are clearly not in the Colts’ favor, the Horseshoe can’t be ruled out entirely given their heavy harassment (and the fact that Indy has been a great hitter for a long time). Pat McAfee as a good buddy and rare ally of Rogers in the media, certainly helps their cause).

At the very least, you should appreciate the initial activity of the Colts.
