A man was rescued by California authorities after spending five days in his crashed vehicle at the base of a cliff.
A “pickup” truck reportedly veered off the road and ended up at the bottom of a 100-foot-high cliff in Stallion Springs, about 125 miles north of Los Angeles, CNN reports.
The driver was reportedly trapped in his vehicle for five days before a passerby reported seeing the heavily damaged truck.
Firefighters required a rope system to reach the scene and had to raise the vehicle so the victim could be safely removed.
According to CBS News, a total of 21 people took part in the rescue.
The man is currently in hospital, but his condition is unknown.
The cause of the accident has not yet been released by the Stallion Springs Fire Department.
