CINCINNATI – A burgeoning rivalry is underway in Cincinnati. Less than a year after their thrilling clash for the AFC Championship, the Bengals and Chiefs meet again in a game that should build on the excitement of their last two meetings. The Bengals won a shootout against the Chiefs in Week 15 last season before upsetting them for Super Bowl rights in overtime.
Featuring two talented teams, this game features an epic quarterback duel between Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow. Mahomes has continued to develop this season despite Tyreek Hill’s departure to Miami. Burrow has continued to play at a high level, despite Ja’Marr Chase missing the last four games with a hip injury. Cincy will have Chase back but will once again be without Joe Mixon, who was inactive in last Sunday’s win in Nashville.
Chiefs safety Justin Reid added even more intrigue to this game when he called out a Bengals player while misremembering tight end Hayden Hurst’s name and mentioning Tee Higgins. Reid’s comments weren’t well received by the Bengals, who would no doubt make a statement by beating the Chiefs for a third time in a calendar year.
