– WWE Friday Night SmackDown begins with video of Sami Zayn’s trial during RAW’s 30th Anniversary.
– The Usos and Solo Sikoa arrive at the parking lot in front of the arena, Sami Zayn secretly approaches Jey Uso to talk to him. He thanks him for what Jey Uso did for him at RAW before going into hiding again.
The SmackDown intro plays, then the Pyros erupt! The commentators welcome us to this last show before the Royal Rumble.
– Rey Mysterio then takes on Karrion Kross for his match.
Rey Mysterio vs Karrion Kross from Scarlett
At the end of the match, Scarlett intervenes in the match in favor of Karrion Kross, but Rey Mysterio manages to make his 619, followed by a splash at his opponent, followed by the fall… Kross gets up at 2am. Karrion Kross goes for Rey Mysterio but the latter counters him with a roll up for the win.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
– We see Austin Theory’s victory over Bobby Lashley during RAW’s 30th anniversary thanks to the intervention of Brock Lesnar.
– Behind the scenes, Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky talk about the Royal Rumble and say that if they go to work together, they will be difficult to eliminate.
– Austin Theory competes with the United States belt. In the ring he tells us “The Champ is Here”. He’s still champion and will win the Royal Rumble this Saturday! The music hits of New Day and Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods take the stage. Kingston says he only respects 3 Austins: Austin Creed (Xavier Woods), Stone Cold Steve Austin and the city of Austin, TX.
Austin Theory really thinks he’s going to win the Royal Rumble? The New Day taunts the champion and says that the winner will be one of the two. Austin Theory asks them if they know who he is… he’s the biggest star in WWE! The Miz’s music hits and he comes to the ring. The Miz tells Theory that he competed in Royal Rumble matches before Theory even hit puberty. At the Royal Rumble, he will swing Austin Theory and 28 others over the top rope to win.
The Miz and Austin Theory attack the New Day, but Bobby Lashley comes over to join the fight. He picks up a mic and says he’s going to terrorize all the Royal Rumble wrestlers to get what he deserves. Brock Lesnar emerges from the crowd and gives Bobby Lashley an F5, then announces his participation in the Royal Rumble!
– Backstage, Rhea Ripley says she’s ready for the Royal Rumble. This year is his.
Lacey Evans vs. Jazmin Allure
At the end of the match, Lacey Evans concedes her opponent with a Cobra Clutch.
Winner: Lacey Evans
After the match, Lacey Evans says we’ll be sad when she uses this template on the 29 other wrestlers and sends them over the top rope. Lacey Evans wants us to welcome the future Royal Rumble winner! Evans sends Jazmin Allure over the top rope.
– Behind the scenes, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus take turns betting on his partner for the Royal Rumble before kicking him. Kayla Braxton advises them to focus on their match against Hit Row tonight.
– A video about Cody Rhodes will be broadcast.
– Sheamus and Drew McIntyre enter but are attacked from behind by the Viking Raiders!
