The President and First Lady arrived at the home of Biden’s 2020 rival Tom Steyer in Lake Tahoe on Friday for their second vacation this month.
The $18 million estate is the vacation home of Biden’s former nomination rival and billionaire climate investor Tom Steyer and his wife Kat.
Biden, 80, and his scandal-hit son Hunter, 53, appeared separately at the 3-acre waterfront property.
The six-bedroom Nevada retreat is described by real estate site Redfin as “one of the finest lakefront properties on Lake Tahoe and the tallest waterfront property within the Glenbrook gated community.”
The mansion features a lakefront gazebo on the shores of Glenbrook Bay, manicured lawns, cozy fireplaces and direct access to the sandy beach below.

Biden is enjoying his second vacation this month, but will break the vacation with a visit to Maui
The property is owned by billionaire climate investor Tom Steyer and his wife Kat
Steyer, who challenged Biden for the 2020 Democratic nomination, bought the 1968-built property in 2007 for $15 million.
The White House confirmed that the Bidens would pay for their stay at the property, but declined to provide further details on the cost of the trip.
“The First Family is renting a private home for their stay in Lake Tahoe,” the statement said.
“The house is owned by Tom Steyer and Kat Taylor.” “The First Family is renting the house at fair market value.”
President and First Lady Jill Biden arrived in Nevada aboard Air Force One with her first daughter Ashley Biden, granddaughters Maisy and Naomi, who are Hunter’s daughters, and Naomi’s husband Peter Neal.
Hunter, his wife Melissa Cohen and their three-year-old son Beau “flew separately on a commercial flight” and were “already at the residence waiting for the rest of the family,” according to the White House.
Steyer is a co-founder of investment fund Galvanize Climate Solutions and rose to fame after spending about $10 million shortly after taking office in 2017 to fund an ad campaign campaigning for the impeachment of then-President Donald Trump.
Biden will take a holiday break to visit Maui Monday as the country suffers the devastating effects of wildfires that have killed more than 100 people.

The $2 million home in Rehoboth Beach was recently security upgraded by the Secret Service.
The couple spent a week relaxing, riding bikes, going to the beach and even enjoying a night out with dinner and a movie.
