Taylor Swift turned heads in Kansas City in recent weeks with her star-studded performances at Arrowhead Stadium to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce in action, but the pop star was already a local hero.
The 33-year-old Anti-Hero hitmaker attended two of the tight ends’ NFL games at the Chiefs’ home stadium and sat next to his mother Donna in an Arrowhead suite.
But the 12-time Grammy winner had already put on a show of her own at the stadium, and while Kelce, 34, may have helped bring two Super Bowls to the city, Swift made her own touching impression in Kansas City.
The singer made a “significant contribution” to a local food bank over the summer while visiting Kansas City on the U.S. leg of her Eras tour.
In July, as Swift and her billion-dollar tour arrived in Kansas City, the Harvesters Community Food Network shared on social media that the “You Belong With Me” singer had made a generous donation.

“Thanks to a generous donation we received from the award-winning singer, it won’t be a brutal summer for thousands of families, children and seniors suffering from food insecurity,” the food bank wrote on Facebook at the time.
Her donation went under the radar at the time, but her generosity resurfaced after her budding romance with one of the city’s most popular NFL stars.
“We were pretty surprised,” Sarah Biles, communications director for the food bank, told The Kansas City Star.
The food bank was asked not to reveal the size of the donation, but Biles revealed that Swift’s raising awareness for the cause was just as impactful as the donation itself.
“Overall, it’s a significant contribution to fighting hunger and it’s so gratifying to see her choosing a cause like this,” Biles said.
Swift’s donation to Kansas City was one of many huge sums she distributed to charities in 20 states during her tour.
With the Eras tour looking set to be one of the most profitable of all time, according to TMZ, it is expected to bring in $4.1 billion after Swift takes her show on the road and in theaters.
And she apparently made it her mission to give back by making donations in all 20 states she visited during the tour.

The singer asked charities not to reveal the amounts she donated, but they appear to be huge sums. Feeding Tampa Bay, a food bank in Florida, said their generosity would provide 125,000 meals.
Another Seattle food bank wrote: “You asked us not to share the number with you, but I can tell you the donation will provide thousands of pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables for our more than 400 food banks across Western Washington. “
In Pittsburgh, a food bank said, “Your donation will ensure thousands of our neighbors have the food they need to thrive.”
And the Santa Clara Food Bank in California thanked her for helping them feed the 500,000 people they help each month, adding that her donation also prompted a flood of donations from fans, with the donations at 43 percent rose.
Swift – who has a personal fortune estimated at $703 million – was also generous to tour staff, paying out bonuses totaling $55 million to artists and crew. And she surprised the trucking staff by giving each of them a “life-changing” $100,000.
She also paid more than $110,000 to book 197 rooms for her crew for one night at the five-star Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico.
The Eras tour is due to take place in the UK next summer and charities in the cities where she performs hope she continues with her generous donations.

She seemed to have a good relationship with Donna, although Kelce’s mother apparently scolded her after they met for the first time at Arrowhead’s win over the Chicago Bears last month.
The NFL star’s mother appeared to be wearing a Swiftie-style friendship bracelet that fans made for Swift’s Eras Tour concerts, with the words “Today” written on it.
Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City’s star quarterback Patrick, sat next to the pair in their suite and was seen hugging Swift as her men combined brilliantly on the field.
The pop sensation’s relationship with Kelce appears to be getting serious as she was first spotted chatting with his fashionista Ed Kelce during the Week 6 matchup.
And after the Chiefs’ 19-8 win over the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football, the Anti-Hero hitmaker appeared to spend some time with the Super Bowl champions.
Swift appeared to be spending the night at Kelce’s home as her security team was spotted outside the property in exclusive photos obtained by on Friday morning.
The vehicles parked outside the tight end’s compound appeared to be the same SUVs used to pick the star up straight from her private plane and drive her away from the airport on Thursday.

Later that afternoon, Kelce’s mother Donna, who had been sitting next to Swift in the Arrowhead suite during Thursday’s game, was seen arriving at the villa.
There were also Kansas City police officers roaming the area and stopping cars heading into the neighborhood where Travis Kelce lives.
According to TMZ, the new couple is spending the weekend together with Kelce, who will have some time off this week due to the Chiefs’ early game.
The entourage left the property, which Kelce reportedly purchased in 2019 for $995,000, in the afternoon.
