David Ortiz must have been very excited – and that's understandable – but he completely botched revealing the gender of his fourth child in a viral video earlier this week.
The Boston Red Sox great was considered one of the most ruthless hitters in Major League Baseball during his playing career. “Big Papi” hit no fewer than 541 home runs in his career.

Ortiz was desperate to hit the ball, which contained powder that would reveal the gender of his baby, and was surprised by a throw near his hands. He missed the object by a long shot, but all the guests saw was fire as a blue firecracker was quickly ignited.
The 48-year-old Dominican is about to become a father to a baby boy and seemed completely thrilled by the news, as we see in the final seconds of the video.
After 20 seasons between 1997 and 2016, Ortiz won the World Series three times and appeared in 10 All-Star Games. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022.
