Jordan, Santiago and Yelda fully integrated the challenge launched by the masters during the unlikely duets of revolution, Sunday. They had to play love at first sight and enchantment, and the idea of a wax statue coming to life and the sculptors falling under its spell was perfect.

“It was very interesting to work with Yelda, to be able to interact with someone who has a completely different background and style than us,” Santiago explained. It opens a very wide artistic door. It’s as scary as it is exciting.”

Both boys also saw this fusion of the two styles as a challenge. “We have control, musicality and precision,” Jordan explained, “whereas Yelda is more about freedom of movement.” We tried to pass on our way of working to him, and for our part we also had to explore areas and partnerships that we weren’t used to. And we didn’t know how difficult it was until we did it. It’s really challenging.”

Their revolution is very expressive and the result of hard work, but also very calculated. “We wanted to think about this revolution as a trio and integrate everyone,” Santiago explained. I think that was the most difficult case. We finally found a structure that encompassed all of our strengths, was complex and visually interesting. It was also difficult to set up because Yelda had to do several things at the same time. It didn’t seem like the most difficult role, but it was the most meaningful.
