“Revolution”: Sean and Sébastien find themselves on a knife’s edge

Sean and Sébastien came face to face and had to unite and work together on the unlikely duets revolution, this Sunday. Despite their stunning performance, the Masters were tough, receiving only 88 points. It was their revolution that ultimately allowed them to reach the quarter-finals.

Because of their extreme similarity, the two dancers had to play Siamese brothers who tear each other apart and separate each other for this unlikely duo.

“We really seem to be the same person,” Sébastien remarked. We did costume fittings and got to wear each other’s costumes, it was really fun.”

Although they develop into two very different dance styles, each has taken a step towards each other. The connection between the two boys was most beautiful to see. “We had a great exchange,” recognizes Sébastien. I’m really proud of both of us. I learned a lot from Sean, and I think he learned from me too. We still have different approaches to how we work, for example because we have different backgrounds. But I learned a few break moves and he, in turn, delved into contemporary art. We’ve both grown up.”

The two dancers also shared a similar experience in the show. Sean and his group lost to the unlikely duos in Season 3, while Sébastien was eliminated at the same time last year. “It was really my goal to surpass this stage this season,” said Sébastien. It is a step that requires a lot of work and investment.”

With 43 points for performance and 45 points for revolution, both boys received an identical total score as Diffo, Richard and Laura, but in the event of a tie, the higher revolution score counts.

“We had a moment of great fear when we saw that we were equal to another duo, but our revolution let us pass, we were very happy about it. We were really proud of our performance.”
