Revolve apologizes for Coachella party after backlash from influencers

Revolve, the designer apparel company, has made its way to an official apology for the conditions at its Coachella-related “Revolve Festival” event, which has sparked a firestorm of criticism from frustrated and angry attendees.

In a statement to E! News, a Revolve representative said the company is “sincerely” sorry for leaving influencers in limbo during last weekend’s Coachella festival.

The statement comes in response to online uproar over the brand’s event, which left many of its guests stranded without a ride to the festival. Los Angeles Magazine editor Joseph Kapsch published the story in his tweet about the event, citing sources local to the party, including a comparison to the disastrous 2017 Fyre Festival.

“Influencers stranded in the dirt with no water waiting for HOURS under the hot sun for buses to take them to the actual festival,” Kapsch tweeted. “Security had crowds of influencers screaming about how ‘they matter and why they deserve the number one spot’.”

The representative told E!, “In anticipation of the huge interest in attending this year’s Revolve Festival, Revolve has been working closely with all relevant city and security agencies to ensure safe access for guests to the two-day, invitation-only festival event is accessible.”

The statement continued: “As the festival reached capacity late on Saturday afternoon, shuttle access to the venue was restricted to comply with safety requirements, resulting in longer wait times for entry and resulting in some guests not being able to attend the festival could participate. The safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us and we will always make this our priority.”

“We sincerely apologize to all guests affected,” the representative added. “We always strive to provide a great experience and we promise to make it even better.”

The Revolve Festival was an invitation-only event and included guests such as Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Post Malone and Jack Harlow.

Kapsch tweeted that his sources at Revolve’s event relayed reports of “alleged fighting, screaming, everyone’s dizzy…”. One of the security guards said, “I don’t know who the hell these people are. I don’t know who really matters and who’s lying, or if any of them matter.'”
