RG&E is preparing for potential power outages that may occur during this weekend’s wind briefing.
The wind warning is in effect for Saturday night and early Sunday morning with possible gusts of up to 50mph.

“We appreciate patience, we know that being without power is an inconvenience and sometimes a great challenge for people. So it’s best if you can, make sure you charge any of your phones or devices you need if your power goes out, so you’re prepared, have flashlights and batteries on hand in case you need them.” said Meg Little, manager of electric operations at RG&E
RG&E also urges its customers to stay away from broken power lines and to report any outages.
As of 5 p.m. on March 25, more than 771 homes in Allegany, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario and Wayne counties are currently without power.
