Real Housewives of Orange County’s Lauri Peterson’s son Josh Waring, who is accused of dealing in fentanyl … five months after the drug arrest
Josh Waring, the son of former Real Housewives of Orange County personality Lauri Peterson, was charged with possession and sale of fentanyl about five months after his arrest in Orange County, California.
Waring is accused of criminal possession and sale of fentanyl; and misdemeanor methamphetamine possession, TMZ reported after reviewing court documents.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department sources say that upon the Jan. 10, 2022 arrest, a deputy recognized Waring as a passenger in a vehicle and knew he was on probation in connection with an assault.

The deputy then searched Waring and found narcotics on Waring’s lap and saw him brush the contraband – later identified as fentanyl and methamphetamine – into the floor of the vehicle, outlet sources said.
Waring was subsequently taken into custody and charged with selling fentanyl based on the amount he was carrying, outlet sources said.
The charges are the latest in a series of legal problems for Waring.
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Waring last fall when he failed to show up for a court hearing, according to CBSLA.

In March 2020, Waring pleaded guilty to four felonies — assault with a firearm and leading police in a chase, in addition to double assault with violence likely resulting in serious bodily harm, the outlet reported. He also pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor criminal damage and battery.
Waring has also pleaded guilty to charges of possession of methamphetamine and the wrong person arising out of another incident, the outlet reported.
Waring was arrested in Huntington Beach, California in June 2020 and subsequently charged with three counts – possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and making false statements to police.
Less than a year later, Waring was arrested in May 2021 in Lake Forest, California after driving in a rental car that had been reported stolen from John Wayne Airport. Todd Hylton said, according to CBSLA. According to Hylton, Waring was charged with possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine and paraphernalia recovered from the vehicle’s glove compartment.

Waring – who faces a life sentence of 65 years – had agreed to a plea deal in which he received a time sentence. During his time in prison, he was attacked by an inmate armed with towel-wrapped razors and was later released on parole.
