Isabelle Deschamps Plante, who we met in 2013 as part of the Les chefs culinary competition, has since distinguished herself with her talent on our small screen. Whether in competition, as a juror or alongside her mentor Ricardo, the chef offers ingenious and appetizing ideas to integrate into our everyday gourmet life.
Here she replaces Ricardo at ICI Télé. In fact, after 21 years of good and loyal service, Ricardo leaves his place to Isabelle, follows her with tender eyes and is never far away. A look at a novelty of the season: La Cuisine d’Isabelle et Ricardo.
Is there a certain excitement about bringing such a new concept to market? Unlike Ricardo, who is more confident, Isabelle Deschamps Plante answers this question with yes: “I don’t have any stress. I saw what Isabelle recorded. I know she is good and the world will love her. »
Having already recorded programs for two weeks, Isabelle confirms that her proposals will be a bouquet garni of local flavors and freshness: “These are colorful dishes, full of vegetables, full of flavors, full of freshness, full of textures.” Dishes to share, to be placed in the middle of the table. »
She adds: “In the first few episodes I try to include the local products that are currently on the market. “In fact, we can already tell you that the chef started her season with her favorite ingredient: “I chose the food I like to cook the most, which is strawberries.” “The Revisited Strawberry Shortcake” will be her first term. “You don’t even have to bake a cake to make your shortcake, wait until you see this,” adds Ricardo in amazement.
Listening to him, we can clearly see that, far beyond his role as producer, Ricardo is Isabelle’s number one supporter, which he happily confirms: “Yes, otherwise I wouldn’t have given him my place.” I’m a big fan, because she represents the same values as Brigitte and me. She likes to be close to the world. It has to be simple, not complicated. She’s a natural laugher, happy. Her boyfriend works for us, he was my daughter’s work partner in the office. We spent part of our summer vacation together. »
I believe in what she is doing.
He continues his praise: “I listen to him and learn things. If I still feel like I’m learning something, I think everyone will enjoy it. » There’s no denying that these two are beautiful to look at.
Apparently Ricardo, who will make his rounds on the show regularly and without a set schedule, has not yet said his last word: “We have decided to turn it on its head. She used to come on the show when there was something that tempted her. This is my case now. Of course we will go there, there will be nothing predetermined. »
“I’ll be there often,” he confirms.
Finally, Ricardo throws flowers to his successor again: “I have seen her with the world for seven years, she is a real one. She is natural, she is herself, there is no sketch. In order to make a daily show, you must not pretend otherwise life will become hell. I know her naturalness, that’s what she is on TV. »
