Rick Scott suggests Biden is being “compromised” by Beijing and urges Americans to stop buying from China as it funds their increasingly aggressive behavior

  • Florida Sen. Rick Scott claimed Biden could be “compromised” by China because he continues to “pacify” the communist nation.
  • Hunter Biden’s alleged business ties to China put even more spotlight on the president’s dealings with Beijing
  • Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine and wants to facilitate peace talks to help end the war

Rick Scott lashed out at Joe Biden about “pacifying” China, claiming the president could be “compromised” by the communist nation trying to “defeat our way of life.”

The claims come amid rising Chinese aggression and deteriorating relations between Washington and Beijing, as US lawmakers continue to support Taiwan’s autonomy from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

China also recently called for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine and wants to facilitate peace talks as the war between the two nations enters its second year.

Scott, a GOP senator from Florida, says it’s time the US took a stand against China — demanding that America stop buying from the CCP for helping fund its rise as a world superpower.

“Everything Biden does is pacify China,” Scott claimed during an interview with host John Catsimatidis Sunday morning at the Cats Roundtable. “I don’t know why he’s doing this.”

“I don’t know if he’s compromised,” Scott added of the president. “I don’t know what it is, but this is a guy who won’t stand up to dictators around the world.”

Biden’s son, Hunter, has business ties to China, adding even more focus to the president’s dealings with the increasingly aggressive Asian nation.

At the time when Biden was still vice president, Hunter was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to act as an “adviser” and help “open doors” by serving businessmen with ties to Beijing political leaders around the world, the Republican Congressman James Comer, presented claims in a letter last week.

Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, is investigating the Hunter and Biden family’s ties to the CCP.

“The Chinese government [and] the Russian government has decided not to be our challengers but our enemies,” he said.

Scott demanded, “We must stop ever buying anything, anything, anything made in communist China or Russia.”

“No American company should do any business – any business – in communist China or Russia. Nobody!’ he insisted. “Every time you buy a Chinese product or app, or use TikTok, the Chinese government makes money from it.”

“The money always goes to the Chinese government,” Scott explained. “What they’re going to do with that money is they’re going to keep building a military to defeat us and to defeat our way of life.”

Republicans and national security hawks have called on the Biden administration to impose tougher penalties on China after the US revealed its surveillance scheme earlier this month when a spy balloon was shot down from the sky.

China has flown these vehicles, which Beijing claims were just a stray weather balloon, over 40 countries.

The US shot down a balloon over the ocean off the east coast earlier this month and found technology used to collect data and monitor US military operations.
