Rico Melquiades, winner of the 13th edition of “A Fazenda”, revealed to the public the results of the various surgical procedures he carried out on his face while participating in the program “Domingo Espetacular” on Record TV. The revelation came after a week in which the influencer took to social media to express his outrage at criticism he received over aesthetic changes during which time his face was obscured by gauze.
While still recovering, Rico reported that his face was swollen. In addition, complete healing, especially of the nose, takes about a year. However, satisfaction with the changes prevails. “I am happy, satisfied with the result,” he said on “Domingo Espetacular”.
Rico paid more than R$50,000 and underwent a series of procedures that included modifications to his mouth, nose and eyes, as well as facial thinning. “The look on my face was sad,” he described, explaining one of the reasons that led him to decide to have surgery.
Selfimage and the Internet
Selfimage has always been an issue for Rico, who is tired of being called ugly and is thinking about quitting social media. “I was never beautiful, I was never pretty, but I didn’t care what people thought. I’ve already thought about taking a break from the internet,” he said.
He added to the trauma by posting the first official picture of his new face on Instagram. “It’s finally here! After years of being called ugly on the internet, I gave up facial plastic surgery and am showing you the results NOW! I thank God, Dr. Mariana Felinto and you for the support!” she wrote “Rich” in the caption.
