Ridge Holland was one of the main players on Friday Night Smackdown after joining Sheamus and Butch. That changed after he rejoined Butch on SmackDown last month and made his way to NXT, where he ended up putting Ilja Dragunov away on a stretcher. Now Holland has finally responded to his actions after NXT.

The December 19 episode of WWE NXT was pre-taped, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of fans who aren't paying attention to spoilers. In this week's NXT, Ilja Dragunov took on Ridge Holland, who was back in NXT.

Ilja Dragunov is in the midst of an impressive run as NXT Champion, but fans feared it might be over after this week's show. This is because Ridge Holland hit Ilja Dragunov with a DDT on the head, rendering him immobile and forcing the match to be stopped. Dragunov was then placed backwards on a stretcher – shocking fans.

Ridge Holland took to Twitter and finally broke his silence after the shocking incident by apologizing to Ilja Dragunov for what happened and stating that he is not that kind of person.

“I'm sorry for what happened @UNBESIEGBAR_ZAR. That's not me. Get well soon”

WWE's internal reaction to the Stretcher spot was also revealed. We'll have to wait and see when Dragunov returns to NXT television as New Year's Evil is just around the corner.
