The unusual name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second son was revealed a month after the singer’s birth.
The Diamonds hitmaker, 35, and the 34-year-old rapper have named their son Riot Rose Mayers, according to The Blast.
The name may be a reference to A$AP’s most recent song, “Riot,” from earlier in the year, which featured Pharrell Williams.
According to the birth certificate obtained by the publication, Riot was born at 7:41 a.m. on August 1, 2023 at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles
The couple decided to stick with their naming tradition and use another nickname that started with an “R” after naming their first son, born in May 2022, RZA Athelston Mayers.

Rihanna’s gynecologist is also listed as Thais Aliabadi, who has famously worked with Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner during appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The doctor also helped deliver the birth of son Roman to Al Pacino, 83, and his girlfriend Noor Alfallah, 29.
It remains to be seen when the couple will decide to share photos of their new bundle of joy.
Previously, Rihanna shared snaps of RZA seven months after his birth.
Last month it was reported that the couple had given birth to their second child.
Rihanna famously announced her second pregnancy when she showed up at the Super Bowl halftime show in February with a baby bump.
The couple carefully chose the name RZA for their first son.
Her boy’s name is a tribute to producer and rapper RZA, 54, leader of the Wu-Tang Clan, whose real name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs.
It’s also a nod to A$AP’s middle name.

Last month it was reported that the singer now feels her family is “complete.”
According to People, the businesswoman and her rapper boyfriend don’t seem to have any plans for more children.
A source told the publication, “Rihanna feels like her family is complete now,” also adding, “It’s something she’s always wanted.”
The Barbados-born superstar opened up about motherhood in an interview with British Vogue back in March.
“When you have a child, you honestly open up a different side of life where you are now in the matrix with the people who already have children,” she said, adding, “You have a different respect for them mothers and fathers.”
The Fenty Beauty CEO continued, “Everything changes when you have a baby.”

He said, as Rihanna grinned in the crowd: “I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful wife in the motherf****** building!”
But the couple remained silent about whether they had secretly married.
