Rihanna continues to pave the way for modern motherhood with her belly-baring look.
The 34-year-old singer and beauty mogul has been hugging her belly ever since she announced her pregnancy in late January. In her latest appearance at ULTA Beauty’s launch of her brand Fenty Beauty, she continued to show love for her body by wearing a cut-out crop top, sequined skirt and belly chain.

“I personally said I wasn’t going to buy maternity clothes,” she told Bustle at the event. “I’m not going to buy maternity pants, jeans, dresses or [do] everything society has told me to do before.”
The mother-to-be called her style “rebellious,” noting that it’s a departure from what we’re used to seeing as pregnant women.
“When I saw how women dress during pregnancy [in the past]I think that was the only way,” Rihanna explained. “So I made it my mission to move on and just have fun with [maternity style]. Because for me there is nothing more fun than a challenge. Like, this is where I get creative. That’s where I’m forced to come up with new ideas and new ways to make it work.”
Her daring looks have been praised by the likes of Kim Kardashian, who shared photos of Rihanna wearing a sparkly bralette with leather shorts, boots and a jacket for an evening out.

“Best maternity style!!!” Kardashian wrote.
Rihanna also received a lot of compliments after posting photos of herself wearing a turquoise belly-cut jumpsuit. “Thicc,” she captioned the Instagram slideshow.
“You look sooooo bomb!!!!!” one person commented. “Get it, mom, Riri.”
Although Rihanna has long been known for her fashion, she explained that the pregnancy gave her an “extra boost” to her creativity. “And now I don’t want it to end,” she said. “There will be another side of pregnancy that will be like your body, and that in itself will be a challenge. So I’m looking forward to getting creative with this. [stage] also.”

In the meantime, she is on the path of pregnancy and is looking forward to motherhood, including difficult moments.
“Get off the couch, figure out what to wear, put on heels, get dressed. Everything that seems simple is now such a task, so I will just go step by step,” she said. said. “And I can’t run from what’s to come. When I face it, I will handle it the way I know best.”
