The 34-year-old Umbrella hitmaker has been on hiatus from performing and touring in recent years, most recently in the UK in 2016.

A source seemingly confirming an epic comeback told The Sun: “She has her North American dates ready to be announced for 2023 after the Super Bowl and it will be a matter of time before European dates are announced for 2024 are given.”

The mother-of-one has been confirmed to be appearing at the big sporting event as early as September and secure the coveted half-time spot.

The Super Bowl is the National Football League’s annual final playoff game to determine the league champion and takes place on Sunday, February 12.

And it seems she’s making 2023 her year, as a source told The Sun: “Her plan is to set up mini-residences in big cities rather than visiting multiple locations.”

They added that the star hopes her return to music will be smooth and short and sweet as she also focuses on the Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty brands.

Web has reached out to Rihanna’s reps for comment.

Rihanna last toured in 2016 promoting her eighth studio album Anti and kicking off in North America before circling Europe and ending in the United Arab Emirates.

While she hasn’t appeared on stage since the 2018 Grammy Awards, which were held at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

And the star has a good excuse for her absence from the music industry, having pushed multiple ventures to become a mom.

She welcomed her first child, a baby boy, with beau ASAP Rocky in May 2022.

And alongside the transition to motherhood, Rihanna is focused on her cosmetics company Fenty Beauty and lingerie brand Savage X Fenty.

Her comeback comes around a similar time to that of other female pop queens like Beyonce and Madonna — both of whom are touring the world.

The latter, 64, is set to tour the world with a 40th anniversary tour this year – sending fans into a frenzy as there was an “overwhelming” demand for tickets to see the real Queen Of Pop, reportedly numbering 600,000 sold.

While Beyoncé is on the road with her latest album, Renaissance, her tour kicks off in Europe in May before ending in North America in September.

She and Rihanna have been going in similar directions as this tour will also be Beyoncé’s first since 2016.
