Rio de Janeiro civil police are investigating the third death of a Taylor Swift fan. According to the fire department, the 23yearold was found unconscious with cardiovascular arrest around the Engenhão Stadium, where the singer’s concert took place this Monday (November 20th). The information comes from Record TV’s Fala Brasil newspaper.
According to the vehicle, the young man was found unconscious due to cardiac arrest and it is suspected that he suddenly fell ill. He was taken to hospital but did not survive.
However, Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes denied that the death was related to Taylor’s performance. “Before anyone misproclaims it: yesterday’s death has nothing to do with the event and the patient already had health problems,” Paes replied to Fala Brasil’s post.

Other deaths
The first death during Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour was that of Ana Benevides. It fell right at the beginning of the singer’s first performance on November 18th. fainted and was rescued by the Engenhão team but could not resist. It is suspected that the death was caused by high temperatures and dehydration as the temperature that day was close to 60°C. The artist even stopped the show a few times to ask the production team to deliver water to fans.
The Legal Medical Institute (IML) preliminary report revealed that Ana had a pulmonary hemorrhage. Toxicology tests and histopathological examinations are still ongoing. Faced with the silence of those responsible for the show, the singer’s fans mobilized to help Ana’s family cover the costs of transporting the student’s body.
The second death occurred in the early hours of this Monday (November 20th). Gabriel Mongenot Santana Milhomem Santos, 25, was on Copacabana Beach, south of Rio de Janeiro, when three men approached him and tried to rob him. He suffered 23 stab wounds and also died. Two of those responsible for the crime, Anderson Henriques Brandão and Alan Ananias Cavalcante, were arrested redhanded and confessed to their involvement in the crime.
