British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said at least six British citizens were killed after Hamas attacked Israel nine days ago, describing the incident as a “pogrom.”

“We should call it what it is. It was a pogrom. The horrific nature of these attacks makes it difficult to identify many of those who died, but it is with a heavy heart that I can tell the House of Commons that at least six British citizens have been killed, with a further ten missing, some of whom are missing “I was afraid, among the dead to be,” said Rishi Sunak.
The British government is increasing its aid to the Palestinian people by a third with an additional 10 million pounds ($12.18 million), he said.

Previously, Rishi Sunak condemned some incidents at pro-Palestinian marches in Britain as “simply unacceptable”.
“There is no place for anti-Semitism in our society and we will do everything we can to eradicate it. And wherever he appears, he will be met with the full force of the law,” said Rishi Sunak during a visit to a Jewish school in London.
“They’ve made several arrests, but they’re also now reviewing footage of things that a lot of people would have seen that are just not acceptable, and where they can, they’ll be able to make more arrests,” he said.
