The 32-year-old singer shared multiple snaps of herself curled up on the couch as she spent some quality time with her family during the festive period.

The hitmaker wore a beige sweater and a pair of blue jeans, pairing them with dark brown boots and a teal bracelet.

In another look, Rita wore a black sweater with a Mickey Mouse print as she enjoyed some caver.

It comes after Rita’s husband Taika revealed actor Robert Pattinson played matchmaker in their relationship – and they introduced each other at a BBQ where they became friends.

The director, who married the singer earlier this year, said he knew Rita for three years before their friendship blossomed into romance and they started dating in 2021.

In the Louis Theroux interview series, Taika said that his and Rita’s relationship works because they were “best friends” first.

When asked about their first meeting, Waititi told Theroux, “We’d known each other for years before we got together.

“Everyone thinks we met in Australia last year. Do you know who brought her to my house? Rob Pattinson. He brought her.

“I had a little BBQ and we just talked, we hit it off, became friends. Then we were just good friends for the next three and a half years.

“We’ve had different relationships and every time we’ve met we’ve just picked up where we left off and it was a good friendship and we decided to ruin it all.

“I just like the fact that we work hard and we both have our own jobs and we’re independent but we’re also best friends.

“We are from different parts of the world, she is from Kosovo and I am from New Zealand. They’re very far away, but our backgrounds were pretty similar.

“We both grew up poor in working-class families, her father owned pubs and she hung out in pubs a lot as a kid and my mum worked in pubs and a lot of my family members like to go out to pubs, so I went to pubs a lot as a kid.

“The background of the Maori communities is quite similar to that of the Kosovar communities, as well as our sensibilities, I think.”
