‘It just clicked for us’: Rita Ora reflects on her immediate bond with husband Taika Waititi — and shares Prince’s wise advice before he died
Rita Ora has opened up about her marriage to Taika Waititi, revealing in a cover interview with The Line Of Best Fit that the two “got it right first time.”
The 32-year-old singer also shared with her pop legend Prince’s sage advice before his death after inking a new deal with BMG and Masters.
Rita has been working hard promoting her new music and latest track Don’t Think Twice.
Speaking about 47-year-old Taika appearing in her latest music video, she said, “It clicked straight away.”
“We just really bonded with our families and our work ethic. It was like there was no one else at the party and then I was like, ‘Oh my god, the sun is coming up.’ What’s going on?’

“We remained really good friends, but I had butterflies — it was a surprise, but I felt comfortable. ‘Sure.’
“It’s so cool to work with someone you love and support each other.” It’s the easiest thing ever. “He’s throwing ideas at me every minute, but that’s okay — we’re both fire signs.”
Rita later recalled Prince telling her, “Own your masters, or your masters own you.”
She later added that she didn’t initially understand what he meant at the time, but when she did her own research on ownership and percentages, she got his message.
In a bid to impress, the hitmaker recently donned a pair of heeled cow-patterned thigh-high boots as she performed on her album promotional tour in Berlin, Germany on Monday.
She looked incredible in a black blazer worn over a matching mini dress in the same shade.
Rita shielded herself from the sun with dark sunglasses and donned a flawless makeup palette for the outing.
She sings that she never felt more “alive” than when her husband, filmmaker Taika Waititi, first saw her “naked.”

Rita said of the song, “Don’t Think Twice is about not thinking twice and just being romantic about it.”
“You only live once, so it’s really about seizing the moment and not letting thoughts about what might and might not happen hold you back.”
