Robbie Williams dedicates “Angels” to a fan who died after his concert in Sydney – Le Journal de Montréal

Robbie Williams dedicated his song Angel to a fan who died on Tuesday (November 21, 2023) as a result of a fall during her concert in Sydney, Australia.

Robyn Hall, a 70-year-old, suffered a head injury on November 16 after falling into six rows of seats at the end of the British singer’s concert at the Allianz Stadium. The rockstar DJ paid tribute to his fan before performing his song “Angels” in Melbourne on Wednesday night.

“I heard the news this week, the tragic news, that a fan died in an accident after the concert in Sydney,” he said, according to footage fans posted on social media. “When something like this happens, it breaks my heart. I’ve thought about it a lot, and I’ve been thinking about it throughout today’s concert. I just want to say a big thank you to Robyn and Robyn’s family and lots of love from me and my group.”

Then he asked the crowd to sing: “Let’s all sing, it was someone like you who came to the concert, like you did tonight.” And I think she deserves a great song, and today It’s evening for them.”

Robbie Williams then launched his big hit “Angels” in 1997.

According to a stadium announcer, after the show, Robyn Hall tried to climb over the rows of seats instead of taking the stairs. She lost her balance and fell. She was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney in a critical condition and then placed in an induced coma. The hospital confirmed his death on Tuesday.
