Robbie Williams' wife Ayda Field is rushed to hospital after “a perfect evening” comes to an “imperfect end”.

Ayda Field updated her social media followers on Sunday about an accident and emergency room visit after she was hospitalized with a mysterious illness.

The wife of former Take That star Robbie Williams pictured being treated with an intravenous infusion as she rested on a hospital bed, with a mounted heart monitor visible on the wall behind her.

Ayda, 44, addressed the incident with Instagram followers and admitted her hospital stay had overshadowed an otherwise wonderful evening.

In the caption of her post she wrote: “After a picture-perfect evening, a anything but picture-perfect ending.” Now I'm back and resting. Thank you to my wonderful husband @robbiewilliams for being by my side.'

The night before, Ayda had enjoyed a night out with Robbie, 49, at Cipriani restaurant in Beverly Hills – where they were joined by Dame Joan Collins and her husband Percy Gibson.

Robbie is linked to Dame Joan through the British actress' late goddaughter, Milica Kastner.

Milica, the daughter of American film producer Elliott Kastner and famous British interior designer Tessa Kennedy, died of terminal cancer in March 2021 at the age of 49, two years after she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and stage 4 uterine sarcoma.

Robbie and Milica became close friends after the film producer moved in next door to the Take That star when he lived in Notting Hill.

The couple had also reportedly made a pact to get married if they had not found a partner by a certain age.

In a self-written article for Tatler, Milica wrote: “From the first night Robbie and I met in Notting Hill, we were inseparable, like brother and sister.”

“I finally moved to Los Angeles in 2001 and lived there with Robbie for two years.”

Milica also revealed that while she was pregnant with her son Jack, people assumed the baby was Robbie's.

“While I was in LA, I got pregnant by one of my oldest brother's friends, Cary Woods.

Robbie and his wife Ayda are parents to daughter Teddy (11) and sons Charlie (9) and Beau (3).

The couple largely keeps their children out of the public eye, with Teddy recently making a brief appearance in the singer's Netflix documentary.

Her eldest child also got a taste of the spotlight in 2018 when she was a flower girl at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding.
